What this site records
This site is deliberately sparing. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content. There is nothing here you would need to consent to.
Your practice progress
Which stations you have completed, your score and the date are stored only in your browser (localStorage, key pms-progress-v1) and never sent to us. We need this so the course can show your progress and suggest a refresher. The data stays until you delete it — at any time on the course page (“Delete my progress”) or via your browser settings. Some browsers remove it by themselves after a while without a visit (Safari on iPhone and iPad after seven days). In class mode, a flag is kept only for the current tab (sessionStorage, pms-kurs, gone when you close the tab), and progress is not saved at all.
Calendar reminder
If you choose “Add reminders to my calendar”, your browser creates the calendar file itself. It contains only a title, three dates and the address of the refresher page — nothing is sent to us.
Server log files (hosting)
When a page is requested, our hosting provider (Microsoft, Azure data centre in the EU) processes the technically necessary connection data: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the amount of data transferred and basic browser and operating-system information. This serves only the secure, stable operation of the site; we have not switched on any file logging of this connection data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Microsoft acts as a processor.
Operational monitoring
To detect errors and slow pages, the server sends technical operating data (requests, errors, response times) to Azure Application Insights. No cookies are involved and no user profile is created. According to Microsoft, the IP address is used only briefly for a rough location lookup (country, region, city) and is then discarded, not stored. The operating data is deleted after 90 days. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Contact
If you e-mail us, your message stays in our mailbox; we don't pass it on and delete it once your request has been dealt with, unless we are legally required to keep it. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Art. 15–21 GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests by e-mail to the address in the imprint.
